Remember, users and content authors will never have to worry about any of this. All of these codes will be determined by the DEMML organization. All the users will know is that so-and-so is the code for the topic they are studying now. And they can even ignore that if they want. The codes are mostly for use by the software for keeping track of things. This information is only provided so that people can understand the DEMCS™ and so that others can use the same general system to organize their own rich hierarchical trees of information.

Procedure for Suggesting New Branches After DEMML™ is in Use

After DEMML™ is in use, there are bound to be people who would like to see additional subjects created to add even more detail to the system. This is accomplished by making a suggestion using the standard discussion system. As with almost every special type of message in the discussion system, all the "suggester" needs to do is place a special code in the subject line to indicate that the post is a suggestion for a new subject or topic. (These codes have not yet been determined.) After discussion in the newsgroups and consultation with experts in the field DEMML.org™ will make a determination as to whether to create a new subject, how to name it, and what the code should be. It may be that a suggestion for one additional subject could result in an entire structure of subjects and topics being added to the tree.
