Primary Goal: Easy Self-Education for Everyone, Anywhere
- Objective One: Organization...
- Objective Two: Classification...
- Objective Three: Distribution...
- Objective Four: Display...
And I do mean anywhere
Even though the scenario described in Imagine a Solution... includes a professor and all the standard events in a normal college student's academic life, the primary goal of this standard is to facilitate easy self-education. Only when students can easily obtain and master all the knowledge necessary for a course of study entirely on their own will they be free of the barriers that stand between them and knowledge. Only when everyone in the world has easy access to all the education they want or need will we be able to overcome the suffering created when the uneducated are left to fend for themselves against the unscrupulous. While professors and classrooms will still be beneficial to some students, it is our belief that many students in the future will opt for self-education when it becomes reliable and easily available. At that time many educators will be able to unshoulder the burden of repeating the same lectures over and over again. They will then have time for more important and efficient tasks such as answering questions and mentoring the academic growth of students. The DEMML™ system is designed to allow distribution of content all over the world in languages appropriate to the location. It is also designed to allow users to store the content they need on their own computer so they are not dependent on any server or internet connection in order to study.
